On April 20th, Warhammer Online announced its newest live event, Beyond the Sands. This event is the second part of the Call to Arms! It seems that Liche Priests have found the battlefields to be an excellent place to raise up their army of undead. Angered by the theft of what was once theirs in the southern sands, they now move forward to reclaim it at any cost. Undead are cropping up around the remains of air ships, and the battlegrounds are turning to greater chaos. In the skies, more airships can be seen.

The event will run from April 20th to April 27th. There are also 20 unlockable achievements in the Tomb of Knowledge.The first part of the Call to Arms! event, Bitter Rivals, introduced the Orc Choppa and the Dwarf Slayer to the classes of Destruction and Order in March. Two more events are planned: Rise of the Tomb Kings in May, and Land of the Dead in June. The Land of the Dead will be an instance accessible only after a faction battles and gains control of the area, unlocking public quests, instanced lairs, and a massive dungeon. To begin, visit Garek Hammershield in Altdorf or Nebesh Painson in The Inevitable City. Each day, a chapter is unlocked, offering more of the story. Participants in the event will recieve the title "Grave Robber" as a Basic Reward, special trophies as an Advanced Reward, and unique aviator goggles as an Elite Reward.
