Mythic Entertainment announced today that "Bitter Rivals," the Warhammer Online in-game event designed to introduce the world to the new Slayer and Choppa classes, has begun. The "Bitter Rivals" event is the first portion of "A Call to Arms," a series of content rollouts that Mythic is calling a "live content expansion."The Orc Choppa is a melee DPS class meant to represent the "rank and file" orc that just like to hit stuff until it stops moving. It was also one of the two classes that were cut prior to the game's release. You can check out our exclusive Choppa playtest here.
"Bitter Rivals" will introduce a new RvR Scenario, a ruined Chaos Temple in which the two sides will battle for the right to get early access to their side's new career first. More details on "Bitter Rivals" and "A Call to Arms" can be found in our exclusive interview with Jeff Hickman. The big prize for winning "Bitter Rivals," of course, is getting to be the first to play the game's two new classes. The Dwarf Slayer, on the other hand, is a replacement for the Hammerer class that the developers at Mythic were apparently never happy with in pre-release testing, and instead replaced with the very iconic orange-mohawked dwarf berserker.
