Apparently, we should be hearing some big news about Warhammer in the next few weeks, which is pretty exciting because we haven’t heard much since the winter break.Keen recently received a mysterious package containing orange hair dye, a set of hair clippers, and a little note with the text: “More to come 1-29-09.“ Most educated guessers are heralding the impending announcement of a new Slayer career (to replace the old Hammerer from beta). During this call, John Riticiello will likely discuss Warhammer’s current subscriber numbers among among other things. Until that call, Mark is policy-bound to refrain from discussing WAR’s current numbers. He will be more than happy to chat about them afterward.
Mark also hopes the announcement will alleviate some of the major player concerns from the past several months. “And yes, more bug fixes and career tweaking/balancing is part of it along with a whole lot of new stuff. It’s a pretty aggressive schedule (with updates coming fast and furious) and I think, based on what I’ve been reading here and elsewhere this month, that there will be a lot of happy people after they read what we’ve been working on.”It seems as though the end of January and early February will bring plenty of exciting Warhammer Online news, which is good timing considering all the people who have been begging for my free trial keys lately. Interestingly, many of them are currently playing WoW.
